Week 3 Roundup

We are just past the half way point of the Premier League, and already have seen so many controversies, and such amazing cricket. After 29 matches, the Kings XI Punjab have found their way to the top of the tournament, after a poor start to the tournament. The Kings XI are on the same points as the Rajasthan Royals, who have been the surprise contenders in the tournament, after they were almost written off before the season began. At the other end of the table are the Bangalore Royal Challengers and the Deccan Chargers, both on 4 points after winning only 2 games each.
Some good news for the Kolkata Knight Riders and their fans is that Shoaib Akhtar has been cleared of his charges by the Pakistan Cricket Board, and will be allowed to play in the tournament. Kolkata desperately need the added boost of Shoaib, as they are currently 5th in the table, and are therefore at risk of missing out on making it into the Semi-Finals.

Harbhajan Singh has been banned from the rest of the IPL season. After Friday nights match between Mohali Kings XI and Mumbai Indians, which Mohali won, Harbhajan allegedly 'slapped' Sreesanth on the field when all players were shaking hands.
